You had a cricut right Laurianne? How much of a learning curve was there?

Butterfly,
I did not have a Cricut. I had the Craft Robo which is pretty much the same as the little Silhouette. So there was not much of a learning curve. Between the new machine and updated software, it is so easy to use. I still may get the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition so that I can import my SVGs. I haven't decided if I need to do that or not.

Well Butterfly I may have my Cameo, but I've yet too get it going because my wireless internet connection to the XP PC was not working correctly, so I phoned up my Broadband service provider; and half an hour later I was connected and I followed his instructions to download the deskhelp software and now I don't have internet access.........and yes I have restarted the PC and nothing again. So now I need to step away from the XP PC and return to my Vista PC and finish designing my Christmas file, or there may be a PC breakage accident when I drop it out of my window on the 2nd floor.........

Dollar Store Crafts website has a 40% Black Friday discount for the Silhouette site through Monday...use code "dollar" when you check out! It even worked for the software upgrade that I ordered!

Here is my Cameo update: I've been spending a lot of time in my craft room and I'm sure I have already put more hours on my Cameo than I ever did my Craft Robo the entire time I've owned it! I love it. I am having one issue though and wonder if any other Cameo owners have run across this problem. I am cutting paper "shingles" for the roof of a dollhouse my hubby is making for our 3 little princesses. The shingles are 1 inch tall and I am cutting them out in 12 inch rows. So, I can get 11 or 12 rows in a 12 X 12 sheet of paper. It ends up to be a lot of cutting. The problem I am having is that the Cameo sometimes stops in the middle of the project and won't start again. If I try to start it, it won't start in the same place so ruins the row of shingles. Occasionally when it stops, it goes back to "home", cutting across the page as it goes which ruins the whole page. I contacted the company regarding this issue and they told me to slow it down and make sure there are no other objects outside of the cutting area. I did this. However, I find the only way to make sure I don't have a problem is to have it cut one row at a time. Does anyone have any ideas?
