Good Afternoon,
I printed invitation on 120lb cardstock paper i got from kmart.
I have a xerox phaser 6280.
After i printed my invitation i used a rotary cutter to cut them and the edges of the invites faded a little.
Is it the cheap paer or is it the ink from the printer??
Thank you!

Hi there, I've had this happen too and for me it was the ink...but the best way to know? Take the paper to Staples and print out on their machine, 1 copy shouldn't cost more than $1, and then you'll know for sure. That's what I did....on one occasion it was my printer on another occasion, it was the software I was using (this wasn't faded though this was just cutting letters off completely)

Hi, I guess you are another Aussie as you mentioned Kmart. Sorry, I can't help as I have not used laser printers. As Lauram312000 suggested it may be worth getting a copy printed elsewhere. Do you have Officeworks near where you live? They have print at an affordable price.
Now this is only a guess but maybe when you cut the paper it is removing some of the toner. Inkjet printer inks tend to soak into the paper whereas laser printer toners do not. Is your rotary cutter blade sharp? If not it could be affecting the print along the edges.
Hopefully a forum member who owns a laser printer will see this post and can offer some advice.

Not all paper works well in a laser printer. I've had cardstock that didn't work well in my laser printer (the toner didn't stick well to it and would rub off). Just be aware that if it isn't labeled for laser printers that it might not work.
