Hi, I am Carolyn the other half of this forum. I would like to welcome everyone and hope you stay a while and join in. Please be patient with us as we have to learn how to use and set up a forum.
It does not matter which machine you use, this forum is all about the Inkscape software and how to use it to make suitable files for your cutter. I use Inkscape and Sign Cut and can only help with the Inkscape software. Angela has mastered cutting from Inkscape directly to her Silhouette. So between us hopefully we can help you create your own files too.

Hi Folks,
Andy - Inkscape developer and user here.
I'm actually here becauuse I'm curious as to which cutter is the most appropirate for small vinyl stickers. specifically that thickish black vinyl sticker stock which can be put on windows etc.
Carolyn, I'm an Aussie too - is there an equipment and stock supplier that you recommend, preferably in or around Brisbane? I'm not fussed on the model of cutter but would love something that has as few hiccups with inkscape as possible and not something that is overkill.
I have a project in mind that involves various 10-20cm stickers for laptops, windows, & desks.
I'm thrilled that this forum exists, so thank you very much for collaborating on this.

Hi Andy, I also live in Brisbane. I own 5 cutters and you are welcome to come over one day and try them out to see which one you think will suit your needs the best.
