I'm sorry.....I'll probably crawl under a rock in embarrassment when I get the answer, but can you explain what "karma" is all about on this forum? I don't know how I should set it up in the control panel, or do I have to at all? Thanks.

Just guessing here but I bet that it has something to do with how many posts you make by level. Carolyn or Angela will have to tell us. Since I have "karma" I went to my profile page and here's what it says, so "helping" appears to be the key for entry Quote: Increasing your Karma power for helping trying to help out a newbie......

Not a silly question at all and I had to look it up when we set up the forum.
If someone is nice or helps you out you can give them karma points as a way of saying thank you. As Susan has shown a comment can be left when you give someone karma points.
I don't think you need to set it up. It can be totally ignored as it only seems to be a bonus feature of the forum. It is not something special we added. LOL, can you tell by my answer that I don't know much about it either.

Can you give Karma out if you dont have any ? Edit: Can other people edit our posts? I don't remember adding that " I'm pretty sure you can"! line. If it was an answer to my question...great, good to know. I would like to give some other forum members some karma...unfortunately I don't have any yet, so I wondered if it was possible. Turns out "I'm pretty sure you can." was my answer. Thanks I can now give out Karma.
