I think this may be a project best used with a pen or engraving tool instead of the blade. If you make the design large enough it could be cut if the stroke width is increased. I am sure you creative people will show us how this can be used. Attachment: eb twist.JPG To create these design you need to download and install the extension. Download Page http://code.google.com/p/eggbotcode/dow ... l:Featured Documentation to help with installation if needed http://wiki.evilmadscience.com/Installing_software The last link is to Twist extension by the Evil Mad Scientist http://wiki.evilmadscience.com/TwistOnce installed you can start to play. To find the extension go to Extensions> Eggbot Contributed> TwistYou cannot use live preview like other path effects. You only have one chance at the settings. If you don't like the design close the extension and apply undo. To save time navigating to the extension go Extensions> Previous Extension Settings to re-open the twist pop up window. That looks very impressive. Thank you Carolyn. I must read and absorb - LOL. Not something I have ever tried.

Carolyn, do the sides not only have to be straight but all the same length or is it possible to make figures with multiple straight edges of different lengths? Is that a silly question - lol ?

Wow, you have been busy. I had a funny feeling you would show us all what could be done. I only seem to have success with squares.
I love the coloured designs. The orange one is like one of those optical illusions.
LOL I just read the text on your first image. What instructions? I am still learning and don't have much information to share. I only learnt a few things not to do. Don't forget to share your tricks when you master these designs.

I think any shape with straight lines will work. I just know circles and ovals don't. Stupid me used a circle first and thought it didn't work. The minute I changed to a square it worked. When you create a design and ungroup the pieces look like objects after interpolate. The only thing I see different to interpolate is the rotation. I did try a roughly drawn kite type shape and it worked. I normally wouldn't have posted until I did a lot of testing but I had a funny feeling Angela would have fun with this one. Looks like I was right.

Hi Carolyn, thats what I thought about the straight lines and thats why I tried the star shape, and you can see that I did have limited sucess; it was the Step Ratio that was causing me problems because of course I went over the 1.00000. Then when I thought I had got the Step Ratio just right then I messed up on the number of twists, but I will get there eventually I just wish there was a Live view button.....

I just Googled and here is an easy explanation. http://www.mathsisfun.com/triangle.htmlYour new designs look fantastic. I can see a day spent playing with Inkscape.
