Inkscape Community tutorials
« on: June 21, 2014, 01:44:45 AM »
I have a large collection of links, to all the best Inkscape tutorials that I know about, on this page http://forum.inkscapecommunity.com/index.php

Probably none of them are specifically cutting related.  All just about using Inkscape.  I'm sort of a new member here, and looking forward to perusing all the tutorials you have here.  Maybe I will want to add some of yours to my lists?

Hi, the link isn't working, I only get the error message - 404 not found.

Most Inkscape tutorials, especially the basics are just fine for people learning Inkscape to create cutting files. There is always something to learn from any tutorial. The main thing when creating cutting files is to have no lines cross each other because the blade will cut any line.

Once a person masters the basics and they learn to look for crossing lines, most tutorials will be of some benefit. Plus more people are venturing into Print and Cut so even the full colour artistic tutorials are of benefit.

Print2Cut is a method of printing your design, sometimes a stamped image and cutting around it with a shadow outline with a digital cutter.  Lots of tutorials on this depending on your cutter software.

Here's one tut from HeatherM

Oh, I see.  Instead of cutting out detailed shapes, your artwork is just printed, and then you cut a fancy border around it.  I don't actually have a cutting machine.  I was just curious.

Thanks  :)
