The Future of this Forum:

The Inkscape Project will open its first official forum, on the Inkscape website, this August (2019). (Address/link will be provided at that time.) When that happens, new registrations will no longer be allowed in this forum and Inkscape support will be provided in the new forum. This forum will still be open for a while, so that existing topics can be finished, and existing users can have access to their contents. But all potential new members should register on the Inkscape website, and post their questions in the new forum, starting in August. If you have any questions or comments, you can post them here.

Since there haven't been any new messages for so long, and no one has ever replied to this message of mine I'm considering closing this forum entirely, in approx 6 months. If anyone has any comments about that, please feel free to post them.

Tiled Clones Happy Birthday
« on: July 05, 2011, 02:52:24 PM »
We have lots of Birthdays in late June and July so here's the background for the one I'm trying to finish for my son who turns 45 today...yikes and he's the baby,

I'll get a vid or instructions up on the Blog later this week maybe on how I did this but it did involve two sets of tiled clones.  Oh, and yes tiled clones did the random colors too.

Hi,  your design is wonderful....who needs stars when you have flowers?  So happy it worked for you and for letting us know it did.

Super job.

RESET for stars

You just need to reset the star tool, like this and you should be fine.

Your background paper looks great Scooby, nice and summery.
Looks like Susan is responsible for many hours of time being lost,

I would not call it time lost so much as time and money saved on buying paper and the great feeling and pride of DIY.

Keep em coming I say!

You obviously have not seen my supply of paper. I do not need any more paper. However, I do agree with the feeling of pride of DIY. I think so many of us are using Inkscape for more than just creating files for out cutters.
