Can't see what I'm drawing
« on: September 24, 2011, 09:11:01 AM »
Hi,

This is SO basic, I'm almost embarrassed to ask.  But I want to use Inkscape and I can't see what I'm drawing.  I drew a circle and I couldn't see the circle.  I somehow turned off the outline and the fill.  I can't figure out how to turn it back on.

Please help!

Thank you,

Pauline

Okay, I've been playing a bit.  Somehow the opacity was set to almost 0.  So that fixed that problem, sorta.  As I don't know how I sorta fixed the problem.

Pauline,

Don't ever be embarrassed to ask. We all had the same kind of questions when we started out.
Open the Fill and Stroke Box by clicking the icon at the top of your screen.

You'll see Opacity at the bottom of the box. You can just slide the bar to increase or decrease.

I hope this helps.
