The Future of this Forum:

The Inkscape Project will open its first official forum, on the Inkscape website, this August (2019). (Address/link will be provided at that time.) When that happens, new registrations will no longer be allowed in this forum and Inkscape support will be provided in the new forum. This forum will still be open for a while, so that existing topics can be finished, and existing users can have access to their contents. But all potential new members should register on the Inkscape website, and post their questions in the new forum, starting in August. If you have any questions or comments, you can post them here.

Since there haven't been any new messages for so long, and no one has ever replied to this message of mine I'm considering closing this forum entirely, in approx 6 months. If anyone has any comments about that, please feel free to post them.

Subway Art
« on: December 17, 2011, 12:55:45 AM »
Well, I've been wanting to do one of these for a while now and we had someone in our shop that was looking for a momento from Alliance. I had one coffee mug. So now with this design, I have some cards, postcards and posters in mind. One of my massage clients saw it and requested one in a 5x7 frame for a new city councilman. This centers around the features of our town in Nebraska.

Thanks so much Carolyn! There are so many great possibilities with this style and color combos, too. My gal ended up buying three framed 5x7s. It's a nice option that is gender neutral and can be a comfortable guy gift option. I think the men are more challenging when it comes to gifts.

Thanks Glynis!

I'll have to get a shot of a poster-sized piece my husband printed out last night on a large format printer we have at the office. He isn't familiar with Inkscape (nor inclined to learn it) so he recreated my piece in CorelDraw and then added colors...at last, he's come to the dark side! Hee, hee, hee! I guess he's decided if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!    :D
