The Future of this Forum:

The Inkscape Project will open its first official forum, on the Inkscape website, this August (2019). (Address/link will be provided at that time.) When that happens, new registrations will no longer be allowed in this forum and Inkscape support will be provided in the new forum. This forum will still be open for a while, so that existing topics can be finished, and existing users can have access to their contents. But all potential new members should register on the Inkscape website, and post their questions in the new forum, starting in August. If you have any questions or comments, you can post them here.

Since there haven't been any new messages for so long, and no one has ever replied to this message of mine I'm considering closing this forum entirely, in approx 6 months. If anyone has any comments about that, please feel free to post them.

DXF file not allowing me to ungroup it
« on: March 05, 2012, 04:11:01 PM »
Hi everyone I was fooling around with silhouette studio, and tried to ungroup a file of mine and the silhouette studio won't let me...I'm wondering if it's something I've done when I save the file in dxf format in inkscape...  These are my files...

Hi Beehive

I did a quick file and grouped 1 copy of the file and Ungrouped another copy of the file then saved it as a DXF file, Do not tick the Enable RoboMaster output; then open your silhouette studio software select all files and find your Saved DXF file. You will notice that the file is smaller then its appearance in Inkscape and every file is grouped, so you will need too highlight all the designs showing on the page and open the Modify window (its the 7th box from the top right hand corner of the menu bar) then select the Release button and you will find that all the designs are now Un-Grouped.......

Let me know if you need anymore help.......
