The Future of this Forum:

The Inkscape Project will open its first official forum, on the Inkscape website, this August (2019). (Address/link will be provided at that time.) When that happens, new registrations will no longer be allowed in this forum and Inkscape support will be provided in the new forum. This forum will still be open for a while, so that existing topics can be finished, and existing users can have access to their contents. But all potential new members should register on the Inkscape website, and post their questions in the new forum, starting in August. If you have any questions or comments, you can post them here.

Although I've been planning to put this forum in read-only mode, at the time of this transition, unfortunately, my personal circumstances have changed, and I won't be able to host this forum much longer. If anyone is interested in taking it over, please contact me.

Valentine Bear
« on: January 18, 2013, 09:25:44 AM »
As if there aren't more than enough images of Bears with Valentine BUT I wanted to draw my own just because.  This is a paper piece if you want or a print/cut if you don't or a mix.

Fun to draw as it is just ovals, and circles....a great exercise for learning.

SVG files and png on my Blog for you to play with.

How did I miss this post? Your bear is very cute and never mind saying it is just circles and ovals. I dread to think how a bear would look if I tried to draw one using shapes   . I still draw cats with a figure 8, two triangle ears and a squiggle for a tail   My daughter got my drawing talent.

I bet Norm will be chuffed if he gets your cute bear on Valentine's Day.

welcome back Caroline we have been very concerned for you and missing you here.  norm walked by the computer whilst I was drawing and said "cute" that's about the best I hope to get.

really creating the bear is simple, just pull him apart and you will see all the simple elements..and no stuffing all over!

take care
