The Future of this Forum:

The Inkscape Project opened its first official forum on its website this month (August 2019). https://inkscape.org/forums/ In an effort to combine all the different forums into one, this forum will no longer be accepting new members or new messages. However, it will remain open for a little while, for existing members, to have access to their contents, if they need them.

Any potential new members should register on the new forum, and post their message there. There is a special board for questions about using Inkscape for cutting machines (of all kinds). (https://inkscape.org/forums/cutplot/)

If you have any questions or comments (and you're an existing member) you can post them here.

Although I've been planning to put this forum in read-only mode, at the time of this transition, unfortunately, my personal circumstances have changed, and I won't be able to host this forum much longer. I'm not sure about the time frame. It could be as soon as the end of 2019, or as long as a year from now. If anyone is interested in taking it over, please contact me.

Laurianne I love the dripping effect, it makes me think the ink is escaping.  Wow, that was a brilliant moment for me.  I don't get them often.

Hi All,

We will also end this challenge on Saturday the 4th of September, 2010. So, if you would like to submit a design we can use to promote the forum please submit it before the end of the day on Saturday.

Thank you for entering such a great selection of logo designs. I think it will be tough to choose a winner.

We will add a poll on Sunday and will ask members to vote for their favourite and the winning logo will be the one we use for the forum. All we have to do then is work out how to turn it into a clickable link to use on blogs.

The voting will last for one week to give all members time to vote for their favourite.

We only have 10 votes so far.  What has happened to everyone? We need your input.  Ten votes from 260 members is far too few.

I guess only those of us with Blogs really need one so we can direct more traffic here, but it would be great if the other members voted too....this Blog is for all of us.  Maybe Laura or Belinda will do some funny shirt designs to go with the new logo

I LOVE the coffee mug idea.  Who can't figure out how to add it to a coffee mug?  Maybe me
I do have some etching cream and a clear glass mug so I could do it.  Does vinyl work on a mug?  Oh, I also have glass paint so with a stencil (you provide of course) I could paint it on.

Soooo many ideas, so little talent.

Thanks for the inspiration.

You girls are always thinking!  Aren't there decals that work on mugs?  I have printed out rub on decals.... but they wouldn't be water proof.  There must be something like that out there.

Maybe you should put up a new post to alert members that it's time to vote???  We do need more people involved.

Hi Susan
I have put my website logo on a coffee mug using outdoor signwriting vinyl. It has accidently been put through the dishwasher and survived but it can definately be handwashed.

Cheers

Hi Susan,

I have a mug press. I bought my first cutter to contour cuts items for my heat press and mug press and got sidetracked with pretty paper along the way. I am being good and I am starting to use my die sublimation printer to create heat set projects.

My SIL has put vinyl on many items such as her boy's lunch boxes and they are put through the dishwasher on a regular basis.

Just want to say what a wonderful job you all did on the designs that
were submitted.  Lots of creative talent here.  It was hard to vote.
Can't wait to see what is selected.
