Absent
« on: March 08, 2013, 03:43:03 PM »
Hi, I have been absent due to illness and a hectic life at the present. I am starting to feel better but I have a lot to do in the next few weeks.

Thank you to everyone who has been answering questions and helping other members. I will try to visit the forum a bit more often on the days I don't collapse with exhaustion when I get home.

Carolyn, Hope you feel better soon.  Don't worry about us, take care of yourself first.  I think we have things covered here.   :)

A shout out to everyone! Carolyn, I'm sorry you've been ill and hope you continue to make improvement and take care of yourself.

Life has been busy and hectic and full of change for me. My mom had quadruple bypass heart surgery in October. She is doing well and is trying to make meaningful changes to make the most of it. She uses her treadmill nearly every day and has lost 25 pounds. She is still going to cardio rehab. I'm really proud of her.

My father passed away in early January (parents have been long divorced but have a wonderful stepmom who did so much to care for dad) and my father-in-law passed two weeks ago so we are adjusting. I found a meaningful quote on Facebook that I will share here for others who have also dealt with their own losses.

When someone you love dies, you never quite get over it.
You just slowly learn how to go on without them.
But always keeping them safely tucked in your heart. ♥

Sorry you've been ill Carolyn. Your weather wouldn't have helped much. Take it easy and get better soon.
Laura I  lost my husband nearly seven years ago and I tell people in the same situation "it doesn't get easier just different"

Carolyn, been missing you. So glad you are on your way back!

I've been making some note card bases and posted one on my BLOG, it is really easy to change the text for any occasion. I adapted it just for you today.

Hi Carolyn
so sorry you have been ill and my good wishes for a speedy recovery.

We have gales blowing here tonight and since I live on the 8th floor I really notice them and I have been awake most of the night hoping no outside stuff goes walkabout in this wind

My condolences to those with bereavements in their lives
