Hi gcextreme

No question is stupid on this forum, I see you have 1 of the Big graphtec cutting machines; I myself only have 1 of the table top variety CC200 that uses graphtec robomaster software. Can you do a screenprint of what you see when you are in Inkscape and select the print option from the file tab.

Have a look at the fifth frame in this pictorial to see if there's any info that maybe similar as the graphtec software that you use for your particular model: [bad link removed]

If this doesn't help there are a great brunch of experts on the craftrobo/silhouette section who maybe able to better help you, because there are some users who have the bigger graphtec cutters and use inkscape http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=200

Hi, we all use Inkscape for designing but need another program to cut the design. A bit more information if you don't find your answer after following Angela's links.

You listed the programs SignBlazer and Illustrator. Illustrator is like Inkscape and can be used for designing. SignBlazer is the cutting program. Here is forum http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/fo ... ignblazer/ where you will find tutorials and more information about SignBlazer.

What computer system do you use, Mac, Windows, or Linux? If you use Linux there is a free program designed to cut after designing in Inkscape http://inkcut.sourceforge.net/ and your cutter is listed as one that will work with the program http://inkcut.sourceforge.net/cutters

If you want to look at other programs there are a few that will work with a variety of cutters. I think each program does have a trial version so you can test them before buying. Do check first that it will work with your cutter. Here are 3 programs I know of, Sure Cuts a Lot http://surecutsalot.com/software/software_scal.html , Make the Cut http://make-the-cut.com/ and Sign Cut http://www.signcutpro.com/about-signcut/

Yeah...im a member of the uscutter forum, as well as vinylforum too..

I have a laptop, Dell Latitude, with Windows XP Pro. that i use for cutting...but i also have a Dell desktop pc with Windows XP..

The issue i am having is when i design something in Inkscape, save as .eps and open with Signblazer, sometimes my letters are goofed up...like in the "A"s the inner part is solid when i import it into signblazer, but in inkscape its fine...

Hi! Read your post and am not sure if you have your cutting issues resolved. I have 2 Graphtec CE-2000-60 cutters. One runs on an old Dell with Windows XP and the other runs on a Toshiba with Windows 7. I draw in Inkscape and cut directly from Inkscape to the cutter. I save all of my files in svg format and send the svg file to the cutter. As someone told you earlier just click File>Print>Print.

All I ever did was load the particular Graphtec driver for whichever Windows version and add a printer(cutter) on the computer. There are instructions with the driver and some settings that must be set up for the driver and also the printer.

There is a Graphtec Cutting Master program that you probably got with your cutter. I never bothered with that and not even sure it is appropriate with my cutters, which are probably 10 years old.

I have no problems going directly from Inkscape to the cutter. I cut some very intricate Gothic fonts, often as small as 1/2 inch high.

If you use some other cutting software between Inkscape and the cutter you may need some other file type.

If you like you can send me one of you files(svg) and I'll try it and cut it. We can than go from there.
