Aussie Carolyn?
« on: March 14, 2016, 11:59:09 PM »
Hi Friends,
I'm just going through the process of keeping my list of Inkscape tutorials up to date, and I find Carolyn's site Cut Two Pieces is gone (http://www.cuttwopieces.com/), along with ALL her tutorials.

Does anyone know if she's moved somewhere else?  Or they're just gone now?

I guess the last we heard, she had a new laser cutter and was focused on that.  And we knew she couldn't keep up this forum anymore.  But I still thought she'd keep her blog going.

Well, I hope everything is ok.  Does anyone know if there's a new site somewhere?  (I tried searching her username, but those are very common words.  And who knows if she's still using it?)

All best  :)

Edit -- And what about all the links from this site?  I could edit her profile, but there are probably a lot of links in message text, besides the profile.  I just hate when a forum is full of bad links.  But I can't think of any reasonable solution.  Does anyone have any ideas about that?

Brynn.... You might want to check her out on Pinterest. I think she still has some videos there. :)

Thanks Laurianne  :)

Hhmm, looks like you have to register just to look someone up.  I'm not much of a "social media" type person - don't belong to Twitter or FB either.

Do you or anyone know of any other usernames she might go by?  I just remember she was so excited about the laser cutter, and I thought she would be making tutorials, etc, for that.

Her videos are still on Youtube on her Cut Two Pieces account, but she hasn't added anything in years.  https://www.youtube.com/user/cuttwopieces/videos

Oh nice -- thanks Heather!

At least I can add those back to the tutorials page on IC.  It won't help for any links to Cut Two Pieces, which she might have posted in the forum.  But I'll also edit her profile, and that might help people find them.

Thanks Brynn, I often need a refresher tut on tools or effects I do not use often. I did contact Carlyon and hopefully she will visit and help in preserving access to her very helpful tuts.

Hi Brynn, here I am. PapaSue got hold of me via Facebook.

Firstly, thank you so much for taking control of the forum  :ur:. It is great to know help is still available.

I did buy a laser but thanks to a few health issues I am only just starting to use it. I am still at the stage I have one hand over the stop button and a fire extinguisher in the other hand

My blog does still exist but it reverted back to blogspot. http://cuttwopieces.blogspot.com.au/ I cannot access my You Tube accounts and haven't been able to for a long time. I will try to get it sorted out as a few tutorials need updating.

After a long, long absence I am back in action and using Inkscape again. I will be a regular visitor to this forum once more.

Cheers, Carolyn
