The Future of this Forum:

The Inkscape Project will open its first official forum, on the Inkscape website, this August (2019). (Address/link will be provided at that time.) When that happens, new registrations will no longer be allowed in this forum and Inkscape support will be provided in the new forum. This forum will still be open for a while, so that existing topics can be finished, and existing users can have access to their contents. But all potential new members should register on the Inkscape website, and post their questions in the new forum, starting in August. If you have any questions or comments, you can post them here.

Although I've been planning to put this forum in read-only mode, at the time of this transition, unfortunately, my personal circumstances have changed, and I won't be able to host this forum much longer. If anyone is interested in taking it over, please contact me.

Nice tutorial!

I'm not sure how many people here are aware of the changes on the Inkscape website, over the last few years.  But I wanted to suggest that you might want to register there, and upload your tutorials (into the Tutorials category of the gallery).

As much as I've enjoyed admin-ing this forum and my other forum, the Inkscape website has already become the centralized place for all kinds of resources.  We're working on an "official" forum too, and I might try to have the contents of this forum included on the official forum, but maybe as read-only.  Nothing concrete yet, but we'll see.

Thanks, Brynn. I know this website still gets a lot of visitors. Too bad it doesn't get a lot of people participating.

On average, and roughly, this forum gets 40 to 50 human visitors per day.  That excludes all the automated visits like bot or spiders, except search engine bots and spiders are allowed.

I guess now that the software which ships with the various machines is better than it was originally, people just don't need Inkscape as much.  Yes, it is too bad.

The Cricut Explore has created a whole new influx of Inkscape-needers so this forum still has an important role. I have to admit that this is my area of expertise and I just now rediscovered it myself.
