Forum change
« on: September 26, 2010, 06:58:02 AM »
Hi everyone,

We are changing the forum to a new host and the changeover should occur within the next two to three days. We are hoping there will be no downtime but if you cannot access the forum it could be the reason why.

The forum will look identical.  We decided to make the change so we can add a photo gallery so you can all add photo's of your projects. While we are hosted by the freeforums.org we are unable to add extra features. Hopefully it will also solve the log-in problems some members are having.

I am looking forward to that too. I seem to feed off others. I am just now getting the itch to do the snowflakes. I guess it is fun to share the joy when some one learns something new makes you want to move forward with them

It will be great to have a gallery, Carolyn, but I hope it isn't too much hassle for you to change over.

No hassle for me. They do it all.
If I was doing it, I would have to give a warning that we could disappear forever.

Not sure exactly what all the logo will be used for.... but wondered if you wanted the url address on it at all.  Just let me know if there is anything like that you need me to add.

Ooooo Thank You Laurianne

I was so excited about the new server that as soon as we came back online I wanted to see what could be done, but I think I will leave the Housekeeping part of the forum down to Carolyn.......

Oh.... I appreciate you administrators so much.... you are the best!  I don't know how you keep up with it all.

Also... was wondering if you wanted the logo a little smaller??  I figured you can resize if you want to... but again, let me know if I can help.

Hi Laurianne,

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Inkscape is easier than the controls at the back of the forum.
I have made the logo a bit smaller in Photoshop but not sure if it is now too small.

Back again. I made it a bit bigger than my first attempt at resizing. Do you think the size is okay or does it need changing?
