The Future of this Forum:

The Inkscape Project will open its first official forum, on the Inkscape website, this August (2019). (Address/link will be provided at that time.) When that happens, new registrations will no longer be allowed in this forum and Inkscape support will be provided in the new forum. This forum will still be open for a while, so that existing topics can be finished, and existing users can have access to their contents. But all potential new members should register on the Inkscape website, and post their questions in the new forum, starting in August. If you have any questions or comments, you can post them here.

Although I've been planning to put this forum in read-only mode, at the time of this transition, unfortunately, my personal circumstances have changed, and I won't be able to host this forum much longer. If anyone is interested in taking it over, please contact me.

first full card ive designed
« on: June 23, 2011, 04:28:19 PM »
Hi all , i finally got the courage to post a card i made yesterday by designing and cutting a mat with my robo , i saw some cards for sale on the Create and craft shopping channel , and thought i could make my own , i did cut a full card out but thought it was too much so i cut it in half and matted it onto a bigger card blank , hope you like the results ,   i am really pleased with myself , and would like to thank Carolyn and all the other members whos videos i have watched and learnt from . I forgot to add the small glittered dots in the top right and bottom left of the screen i made with blobs of glue and sprinkled glitter into them then let them dry , love them and they dont cost hardly anything .

Hugs Sue x

Very pretty, love the colours and glitter circles. It is a good feeling when you can create a project from your own designs isn't it?
Can I ask how you made the text white, is it stamped and embossed with clear powder?

Thank you all for your encouragment , this card has sat on my self i cant stop looking at it , lol

Carolyn the white writing  was already printed onto the topper ,

I bought some foam flower and butterfly shapes yesterday from our local £1 shop , some are even glittered , and there was so many in the packet i decided to cover a sheet of card with 2 layers of them and when it was all dry i run it through my cuttlbug and it worked i made my own embossing folder , then i decided to cut some shapes out on me robo 1 smaller than the other glue them together and put them through cuttlebug and hey presto another embossing folder in the shape of a nestie , my partner was really impressed , saying that should save money now you can make your own lol, yeah well the money i save will go on more crafty stash , you know the stuff you NEED lol .
