Thinking of you in this time of loss.

It is a reminder for me not to take my loved ones for granted...my father is not well but this does remind me to call him while I still have him. Off to do that now.

Hang in there...

Thank you all for the kind words and cyber hugs.

Laura, great idea to give your dad a call. As Barbara mentioned my dad had been ill for a long time but it was still a shock as the situation changed in the matter of minutes. I guess the death of a loved one is something nobody can prepare for.

Carolyn,

It was so odd. When I talked to my father this weekend he wanted to discuss cremation with me and how I felt about it...it was so unexpected. He tried to assure me that he was okay at the moment but obviously he has a lot on his mind. I agree, it is hard to be completely ready even if you know its coming and as you mentioned it can change in a moment.

I have a friend that contracted a virus that has left her paralyzed since August. She's fighting to go from the wheelchair to a walker. She's just a couple of years younger than me and what a shock that was. Some people get this virus after the flu or flu vaccine shot (yikes!)

So, I think I'm going to work on a design for the saying -
Life is fragile, Handle with prayer

Thoughts are with you...
